Rooms

Comfort, peace, tranquillity and a great night’s sleep await at The White Hart.

Our gorgeous en-suite rooms are situated either in the main house or the barn at the rear of the building.

“Stayed at the White Hart for one night while in the area on business and wow what a fabulous place. The room was spacious and modern but had a rustic charm. Absolutely spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable well appointed rooms with lovely toiletries and even a complimentary Wispa bar! The menu in the restaurant had plenty to please every palate. I chose fish and chips it was a beautifully cooked sizeable (huge) portion and absolutely delicious. All this for less than a budget hotel chain. I’m hooked I will be using this every time I’m in the area. I would also be thrilled to come here for a romantic weekend. A wonderful wee place…5 stars!!”. Review, Tripadvisor

Had lunch with friends this week and could not have been better: interesting menu, beautifully prepared and presented food, good wine list, great ambience, service as attentive as can be. A wonderful day out!

Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic food and open fires all sewn up with great service. After a brisk walk along the South Downs there is nothing better than a swift pint or a delicious meal in front of an open fire in a charming village pub. Families, dogs, everyone's welcome. We love the place!

This pub is in great walking country near the South Downs Way. There is also a nearby National Trust property (Uppark House). The pub is very old but has been sympathetically restored. The food was some of the best pub food I have tasted in a long while. They were advertising breakfast with unlimited tea and coffee - would be very tempted on another visit!

Affordable luxury! The rooms have a spacious feel, and are very tastefully decorated with great character. The bed itself was extremely comfortable, offering a great night’s sleep. The surrounding area is very peaceful and our room looked out across the countryside, it was just perfect. The staff we met were all friendly and extremely helpful, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bed & breakfast, just lovely!!

This pub has got everything right. Full of character with lots of oak beams and fireplaces and comfortable places to sit and eat. A nice varied menu, lovely food, good beer and attentive friendly staff. The icing on the cake was our room, which was easily the nicest room we have ever stayed in. We have stayed here twice now and will definitely return! An absolute delight!
